Like anything in life, especially potentially embarrassing ailments, companies quite rightly will jump on the problem to create a solution for the customer to buy. Now that is great, but when we are disscussing some of these ailments such as acne, is it really necessary to put some of these harsh chemicals on the skin?
Well I think you probably know my answer to that, so we are going to spend the rest of this article looking at some ways to cure acne in a more natural way.
Natural acne cures are less costly and are probably more successful than prescription medications for dealing with acne. Most natural acne cures are made of plant extracts that dry up black and white heads and soothe the skin, without actually drying the skin itself out. Natural acne cures are everywhere you look; herbals, aloes and stuff like that. All sounds real good, but how can natural be bad for you? Natural acne cures are products with substances not man made or synthetic but rather substances that are naturally occurring in the Earth.
They can be anything, but has to be non-poisonous to the human body, so lets have a look at some of the natural acne cures that are available. Vitamins B3, B5 and E have been strongly advocated by supporters of natural remedies. Oral formulations that clean up blood and digestive system are just as popular as creams and lotions. Vitamin C topical also boosts collagen production in the skin. You should consult with your doctor about Vitamin C topical brand because Vitamin C is highly unstable and must be formulated properly. Dietary supplements, such as folic acid, echinacea and zinc can have drastic effects upon the skin, without introducing harsh and alien chemical substances into the body.
A healthy diet and a good cleansing routine are also extremely important, as these are the basic tools for healthy skin, that will give your body the tools it needs to fight acne effectively. Diet is a natural treatment that will help you effectively treat your acne problem. Coconut oil and various herbs, such as burdock and dandelion root have proven to be effective acne treatments as well. Tea tree oil contains a constituent called terpinen-4-oil that’s thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil’s anti-bacterial activity. Because tea tree oil can kill bacteria, applying topical tea tree oil to acne lesions is believed to kill Propionibacterium acnes , the skin-dwelling bacteria involved in causing acne. Tea Tree oil is used by some for acne and others even bathe in a soothing hot tub of Epsom salts. This can be especially helpful for acne that’s broken out on your back.
Herbal remedies and even homemade treatments such as garlic rubs, honey and cinnamon and even lemon juice might have an impact. It’s worth trying these options and other natural acne cures and treatment choices before moving up to more harsh treatments, if it is at all possible. Finally, the most natural cure of all - our food and water. Drinking enough water each day is vitally important. Drink lots of water, and eat a healthy diet. And by a healthy diet I mean getting rid of the fried and processed food, and increasing the amount of fruit and veg that you eat. You have probably heard it before, but you do need to be eating your five portions a day. While there are no clear connections with acne to a person’s diet, your skin is the largest organ on your body and keeping your body healthy will naturally keep your skin healthy.

The thing about acne, and I suppose any other ailment really, is that there are tons of mythe and old wives tales about cures and reasons why people get the condition.
Well at http://stopacne.blogsome.com/2007/04/20/myth-about-acne/ they have put a neat little post together to help dispel some of the myths surrounding acne, and its certainly worth taking a peek, especially if you are currently suffering from acne and not sure as to why.
Infant acne, although sometimes alarming to the parents,is quite a common condition. Infant acne will probably come and go until the baby’s hormone levels have stabilized at about 4-6 months of age. Now because it is such a common condition, there are lots of myths and old wives tales about infant acne, so what we want to do here is give you some facts about the condition so that you know what to do should your child have acne. There is a difference in the type of acne an infant has though. Infantile acne is the acne which normally occurs from about three months of age and can last anywhere up until about 12 months, whilst there is also newborn acne (also known as baby acne) and this occurs shortly after birth.
First of all lets start off with the fact that infant acne is not caused by dirt. This is important to point out because over washing an infant can cause the skin to dry out and make the condition worse. What you should do for the child’s washing routine is just wash the face with water and perhaps a mild cleanser, preferably one that is specifically for infants, and if you do this once daily it will keep the skin clean without causing undue dryness or irritation to the skin. After washing, make sure that you gently pat the skin dry and not to rub dry. The condition can become more active when the baby’s skin is irritated by other factors such as harsh soaps, spit-up, saliva, milk, or being overheated.
Some babies may be born with a number of rashes, or they may develop rashes or dry skin, which may appear similar to acne. These rashes are very similar to the rashes and dry skin that adults get and of course there are treatments on the markets for them, but you do have to be very careful which one you choose. The reason for this is that babies have very sensitive skin; therefore adult acne products are not safe for them. A baby’s skin can get easily irritated and may break out with red bumps and this can lead to further aggravation of the problem. However just to reiterate, these are products for dry skin and rashes that look like acne, acne products, on the other hand, are much too harsh and should never be used on a child’s skin.
Babies can also develop acne from the way that they are handled. This can occur through the bacteria that causes the outbreaks developing from the adults they are exposed to. Babies can develop pimples, pustules and even blackheads like adults, but under no circumstances should the parents pick at the acne.
As mentioned, infants can also suffer from pimples. Pimples are known to show up between 2 weeks and 2 months of age. This kind of baby acne can last until the child is 4 to 6 months old. And the reasons pimples occur is because of when a whitehead does not turn into a blackhead and plugs the pore so that it can be expelled. Again, pimples are very common in infants and are a part and parcel of growing up.

There are loads of different cures and treatments for acne. Some work, some do not, some are based on fact and some are just old wives tales. Now, for the majority of the time, getting rid of your acne is mostly a matter of taking care of your hormones and cleaning up your body. However, with acne there is not just one cure that will fit everyone. Here we look at five acne treatments that you may or may not have heard of but all of which will help with treating your acne.
1. Zinc - Zinc has repeatedly had good results for people suffering from acne. Now although you can get zinc in your normal diet there are also other ways of getting zinc through supplements. Two that come to mind are Zinc gluconate and azelaic acid which can be used as treatment of mild acne. The reason Zinc is so highly thought of is because it has consistently had results in helping to heal blemishes, scars, reduces inflammation, and reduces androgenic hormonal effects on the skin. There were some studies done in which zinc was quite successful in treating acne but although it can and will assist in getting rid of acne it is not 100% a cure. However in saying that it is still one of the best treatments for acne for many people.
2. Hormone Treatment - As mentioned right at the beginning of this report if you can take care of your hormones then you can take care of your acne, why is this? Well considering that hormones can cause acne, it therefore makes sense that controlling them controls your acne too. Now although the hormones in our bodies go wild from around the ages of 12-12, and there is very little that can be done to control that as it is part of the growing up process, but for some hormones can be a problem throughout life. The good news is that there is treatment available to control hormones that are causing acne outbreaks, but you will need to consult with your doctor about this.
3. Diet - Your diet is extremely important in controlling acne. However the good news is that the steps to take are really simple and are as follows. First off make sure you eat plenty of fresh greens and veg, and then alternatively, make sure you keep away from oily fast food. On the whole, acne has more to do with hormones than diet, however some people find that fried foods or chocolate sets them off. Eating well-balanced meals and taking herbal vitamin supplements provide essential nutrients for the skin. Cooking with olive oil, eliminating sugary snacks and minimizing your alcohol intake all contribute toward clear skin and improved health.
4. Potatoes - Yes you read right potatoes are a good way of controlling acne. The reason that a raw potato is not only an ideal acne natural cure but it is also excellent for treating whiteheads, is because raw potatoes contain sulphur, potassium, phosphurus and protein, and when these are placed on the effected areas they work very effectively against the acne.
5. Exercise - Exercise is effective because stress can be a great cause of acne, after all our skin reflects on the outside what is happening on the inside and acne is sometimes attributed to stress. Go for a long walk or a short jog in order to take your mind off of concerns that are worrying you, and talk openly about your problems with friends and family. Exercise is not only a great way to regulate your weight and keep your body in good physical condition, but it also helps to lower stress levels that can cause or aggravate acne. In addition, sweating is a way of cleaning out the body, ridding it of oils and bad bacteria, which again is a natural way to get rid of some the things in your body that cause acne.
