Cold sores are probably a more common problem than you think. However that said, it is probably a more misunderstood condition than you think. That’s why I just wanted to take a bit of time here today to give you a bit of background info on what a cold sore actually is and what you should be aware of.

As I’ve all ready said cold sores are common and although some may claim them to be trivial, I would argue that for the sufferer they are far from trivial. Cold sores are actually caused by a viral infection that attacks the skin and nervous system, hence why I do not believe it is a trivial condition, and although they are only small, they are in fact very painful as well because they are actually fluid-filled blisters that appear around the mouth or nose.
