Too much stomach gas can be a major issue, even though after hours comedians have a tendency to make the problem the basis of quite a few of their jokes. Constant flatulence can be embarrassing to say the least, and if bad enough can create a tough-to-handle social problem for you and your family. As the topic is taboo and generally referred to by way of jokes, most who suffer from this issue often do so in complete silence, as they would prefer to deal with the uncomfortable symptoms rather than look into the causes and potential cures.
Basically, any one of three primary problems could result in excessive stomach gas, and each of these could easily lead to issues in the future if not addressed for a long span of time.
The body maintains a very delicate balance of chemical reactions, and within this balance, yeast is a vital factor. Under certain circumstances, this particular component gets out of balance and when an excessive level of yeast, or Candida is present, health issues can quickly develop. Apparently, this is the foremost cause of a gas problem, and it’s the common result of impaired digestion and a poor approach to holistic nutrition. If someone regularly pursues a diet which filled with “quick and easy” choices, it won’t be digested correctly and the proper waste won’t be expelled either. This causes the yeast to multiply within your intestines and ferment gas. Could this be due to your sugar addiction? Processed foods are generally poor in nutritional value and high in sugars and this elevated level may give the yeast the conditions to flourish. Even more worrying, Candida can lead to the formation of allergies, increased levels of anxiety, difficulty concentrating and irritable bowel syndrome among other illnesses.
Constipation is another embarrassing issue that few choose to talk about. Experts say that you should have a bowel movement twice a day, or food will ferment within your intestines leading to gas and odors. When gas travels into the digestive tract it can lead to bloating and further discomfort. It is important to track your bowel movements and if irregular, think of a colon cleanse and a major reassessment of your diet.
The drug industry has done a lot to brainwash us about “cures” for indigestion. We are told we have too much acid and antacids are popped like pills. As the balance of stomach acid is again very delicate, these pills will essentially cause more harm than good. Food is not completely digested due to this imbalance and its goodness cannot be correctly absorbed. Undigested food will be attacked by organisms and once again will lead to gas, bloating and other bowel problems.
These are just some of the problems caused if you don’t concentrate on holistic health solutions to help you lead your life well. You need to take control of sugar and food cravings and stop relying on processed foods by pretending you don’t have enough time to prepare your diet accordingly. Many of the major illnesses we suffer today, including arthritis, diabetes and cancer can be traced back to poor dietary health. Next time you have an excessive gas attack, consider whether it could be linked to your sugar addiction and make plans for change as soon as possible.

A very uncomplicated arthritis pain management tool is the arthritis bracelet. This form of arthritis pain treatment is quickly gaining popularity in the U.S.. Even though there has been an explosive growth in the use of arthritis bracelets, amazingly most arthritis victims don’t know they exist.
There are some things you need to know about these bracelets:
One interesting thing you should understand about arthritis bracelets, is there are different styles. However, the scope of this article is to analyze primarily on the magnetic arthritis bracelets.
The believability of the effectiveness of magnetic bracelets has long been supported by folk medicine and holistic healers. In recent years Western medicine has begun to accept more and more natural healing methods. Because of this trend, a growing number of arthritis sufferers are giving non-traditional American medical methods a try. Magnetic bracelets are not an exception. Magnetic bracelets are growing in popularity and use among people in the U.S..
There has been some recent authentic research which concludes copper magnetic bracelets can be used as an effective arthritis pain treatment method. This study was conducted by a team of U.K. researchers. They wanted to test whether or not magnetic bracelets were reliable in treating arthritis pain, or if they were not useful. They did find at the end of the twelve week study, that the magnetic bracelets helped to reduce the pain of the wearers as opposed to those who were given a “dummy” bracelet.
There is one precaution to the study, weak magnetic bracelets had little to no effect on their wearers, just as the “dummy” bracelets did. Be sure to have a strong magnetic bracelet. Make sure the field is between 170 and 200 mTesla.
Most often an area that is afflicted with arthritis is low on blood circulation. With this low circulation there is normally a shortage of oxygen to the area also. This can cause a high acidity which would imply a positive polarity. The magnetic bracelet is supposed to alieviate pain in these areas by increasing circulation and introducing a negative polarity. Decreassed inflammation may result also.
The negative energy field made by the magnet also counteracts the positive field associated with the painful condition. Anyone, who is pregnant, or wearing a pacemaker, electronic implants or using electric blankets/heating pads should not use magnetic products. You should always consult a physician before undertaking any form of treatment for arthritis.

I came across this post and I thought I would include it here, as there is growing interest in the natural treatments fro arthritis, plus the fact that it is an informative little article. Hope you enjoy it.
If you are an arthritis sufferer, you have probably had more than your share of expensive doctor visits, prescription drugs and their many harmful and even dangerous side effects. And even after all of this trouble and expense, you still have pain. So many people have tried to carry on There has to be a better way! And there is. Studies have found that nothing helps arthritis more than alternative medicine.
People of all ages suffer from arthritis. Despite the stereotype of the little old arthritic man hobbling down the street with his cane, even small children can develop this painful malady. More arthritis sufferers use alternative medicine on a daily basis along with lifestyle changes. One such change is a special diet that eliminates foods known to aggravate the condition while adding in those foods that help to reduce pain and inflammation.
Proper diet is a viable option for pain control that few people take advantage of. Arthritis sufferers should eat more natural foods as a form of alternative medicine, and eliminate foods that aggravate pain and swelling such as dairy products, beef, eggs, nuts and grains.
There are food based herbal remedies that arthritis sufferers should make more use of as alternative medicine. Some of the more popular ones are –
• Ginger – An anti-inflammatory.
• Cayenne – Used as a topical rub or in capsule form to ease pain.
• Devil’s Claw – An analgesic pain reliever.
• Horsetail – strengthens joint tissue and facilitates free movement.
• Yucca – Known as a pain reliever for centuries
Arthritis flare ups can benefit from more alternative medicine food choices such as –
• Cherries
• Blueberries
• Celery juice
• Celery seed
• Pineapple
• Rosemary
These foods strengthen and add collagen to the bones and joints, making them more flexible, and are anti-inflammatory as well.
Herbs that fight the pain of arthritis include –
• Alfalfa
• Feverfew
• Ginseng
• Yarrow
• Burdock
• Dandelion
• Garlic
All the above herbs are quite good made into herbal teas. Yes, even the garlic! It is delicious as a tea with milk and honey. Try a cup of tea instead of a pain pill, and sip thoughtfully as your pain begins to back off a degree or two.
Don’t pay attention to the taunts of others who make kiddingly tell you that you have turned into a health food nut! Once you have tried the above remedies and see what a difference they can make in your pain, you will be laughing right along with them… laughing with joy that your pain has disappeared. Plus, the addition of these foods, along with a good whole foods diet that leaves out certain foods will help you to lose weight easily if you need to. Excess weight puts a lot of pressure on the joints, which can aggravate arthritis.
Foods that can trigger the pain of arthritis include –
• Tomatoes
• Eggplant
• Green peppers
• Potatoes (white)

If you suffer from arthritis, then getting relief from this condition is probably always at the forefront of your mind, not only when you are experiencing pain from it, but also in the pain free moments you will tend to think about it as well, as you try to find a way of preventing it from affecting you again in the future.
Now, we all know there are lots of pain relief drugs on the market, but as this site is called natural good health, we thought we would look at some alternative remedies for arthritis pain relief, however bear in mind that these are not medical recommendations and you may want to consult with a physician before trying any of them. That said, lets have a look at whats out there.
One of the first areas we can look at is Omega 3 oil. Omega 3 is normally found in oily fish such as Salmon or Tuna for instance (although not the tinned Tuna s they strip all the natural oil out of it - WHY?). This oil has got to be up there as one of my favourite supplements for the body. It does so much good for you it is hard to know where to start, and I’m not just talking arthritis I’m talking about your blood pressure and heart too, to name but a few. Now how it works with arthritis is that it helps to reduce inflammation and keep joins supple.
Another supplement that is aimed at the joints is Glucosamine. Glucosamine helps to reduce pain of arthritis and assist with mobility, but more importantly it helps strengthen cartilage so it may prevent further arthritis around the joint areas.
Ginger, an natural anti-oxidant, can also bring relief and can be consumed through supplements or food. Especially if you like Asian style food as Ginger is highly used within that kind of diet, and I would use fresh ginger rather than the powdered stuff.
One final thing to take into consideration when looking at arthritis prevention is exercise. Exercise is important to keep your joints flexible and muscles strong. Strong muscles surrounding the joints and bones help support the joints making them less likely to develop arthritis, although if your arthritis is already very painful, take it easy as you build up your exercise regime.
