Don’t omit anything from the journal, it should include all of the things that you eat no matter how small. It is an important step to learn how you are eating on a daily basis. The journal can also be used to record your daily activity that you do. Learn about the different weight loss programs and find out the benefits and the negatives to each one. Use your research to help you pick a plan that you think you will be able to follow.

Once you have picked a program that you like, follow it for a couple of months. After a month or two see what the results are and then make a decision as to whether or not you want to keep at it, or if you want to try another plan.
